... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST this morning
for the north interior of western Washington...

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST this morning.

* South to southeast winds of 25 to 35 mph with some gusts to 50
mph are expected to continue through mid morning before
diminishing.

* Gusty winds will affect the area from Port Townsend... across
Admiralty Inlet to whidbey and Camano islands... and north across
the San Juan Islands. Gusty winds will also affect The Lowlands
of Whatcom and Skagit County.

* The strongest winds are now occurring and will gradually
diminish mid morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph or
gusts of 45 to 57 mph are likely. Winds this strong can snap
small tree branches... topple small or shallow-rooted trees... and
cause local power outages.
