... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am PST Friday...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am PST Friday.

* 6 to 12 inches of new snow have fallen already with this storm.
Another 3 to 6 inches are forecast for tonight for a total of 9
to 18 inches.

* Snow levels around 3000 feet will hold steady tonight.

* Precipitation will become heavier beginning Friday morning but
will be accompanied by higher freezing levels at least through
the early afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Travelers crossing the Cascades... especially the higher passes...
should be prepared for winter conditions over the next 48 hours.
Also... back country users should take the proper precautionary
measures during the storm.
