Special Weather Statement
Issued by the National Weather Service at 3:13 am PDT on October 6, 2008

... Becoming windy and cold Tuesday and Tuesday night...

A strong cold front will bring windy conditions over portions of
south central and southeast Washington and eastern Oregon on
Tuesday. Sustained winds of 15 to 30 mph can be expected in many
areas. The front will also spread colder air east of the Cascades.
A light dusting of snow is possible above 5000 feet with heavier
accumulations over the higher peaks of the Wallowa Mountains. On
Tuesday night... temperatures will fall into the upper 20s to upper
30s as clouds decrease overnight. A few valley locations will have the
first freeze of the season.
