Snow will develop over the higher elevations of Madison and
Gallatin County this afternoon and intensify this evening.
Moderate to heavy snow is possible at times tonight with snow
gradually diminishing over the area Wednesday morning. In
addition... locally strong west to northwest winds will create
areas of blowing and drifting of snow. By noon Wednesday... total
new snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are expected over the
mountains with 5 to 8 inches in the West Yellowstone area. At
elevations below 6000 feet... including the Gallatin valley and
the city of Bozeman... accumulations will generally be less than

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are
expected or occurring. Strong winds are also possible. This will
make travel very hazardous or impossible.
